Abu Dhabi was building a new international airport and the highway from the airport to the city passed through a barren desert landscape which needed improvement. We were asked to suggest a master-plan for one of the islands which would become a destination resort for all visitors to Abu Dhabi. This prestigious project served as a catalyst for all the new development which is currently underway.
